PRICES

The Humanist Society of Scotland has a scale of standard charges for ceremonies conducted by its approved celebrants which is reproduced in the table below. In addition to the fees for the ceremony, couples wishing to marry are requested to take out membership of the society. This helps maintain our status with the Registrar General of Scotland and ensures that there are sufficient celebrants to deal with the demand!

Funeral for child under 16 or stillborn	No charge
Memorial service	£100
Naming	£100
Legal marriage	£250
Non-legal wedding, affirmation ceremony, renewal of vows etc	£200
Wedding rehersal	£30
Travel expenses	50p per mile
Other expenses (accommodation etc)	As agreed
HSS membership	£30 for couple

Although the prices listed are recomended by the HSS individual celebrants may waive or reduce these prices at their discretion or in cases of hardship.
